Roles & permissions
Roles control what each user can see and do in the dashboard. Because the menu and the available actions follow from a user’s roles, two people may see different menus.
How roles work
- What a role can do is a defined set of permissions — each role grants a specific set of pages and actions.
- Roles are assigned to a user from the Users page: open the user and use the Access Groups tab to add or remove their roles.
- Roles are cumulative — a user with more than one role gets the combined permissions, and only sees the menu items their roles allow.
