Signing in with the correct account

The Cirros print window remembers who is signed in on a workstation. If it is signed in as someone else, your print jobs go to their account and do not appear when you try to release them. This page shows how to sign out and sign in again with your own account.

In GovPrint organisations the printer is called Send to GovPrint instead of Send to Cirros. The steps are the same.

When to use this

  • You sent one or more print jobs but they do not appear at the printer when you go to release them.
  • The print window is signed in under someone else's account, for example on a shared workstation.

Sign in again with your own account

  1. Start a print job. Open any document and select File › Print, then choose Send to Cirros.
  2. Open the menu. When the print ticket opens, click the Cirros logo in the bottom-right corner. This is the Cirros logo in every organisation, including GovPrint.
  3. Sign out. Select Sign Out to end the current session.
  4. Print again. Repeat the print. This time you are asked to sign in.
  5. Sign in as yourself. Enter your email address, which is your username, and your password.

Why this works

Signing out clears the session stored on the workstation. The next print job then asks you to sign in, so you can connect under the correct account.

If jobs you sent earlier still do not appear, print them again after you have signed in as yourself.

Shared workstations. Sign out when you have finished printing, so the next person is asked to sign in.
